At Pink Bean Coffee, every detail matters—from the aroma of freshly brewed coffee to the aesthetic appeal of the space itself. We had the privilege of bringing their vision to life with a full custom millwork fabrication for their front and backline. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at the process and craftsmanship that went into making Pink Bean Coffee a standout destination.

BeforeAfter

Custom Fabrication Details

For this project, we completed:

  • All-new custom millwork for the front line, including a bakery case, POS/merchandiser counter, hand-off counter, and return knee wall.

  • A fully customized backline cabinet with a built-in ice bin tailored to the shop’s needs.

  • A custom condiment station, ensuring both functionality and a cohesive design aesthetic.

Attention to Customization & Finishes

If there was one theme for this project, it was customization. Every single element was custom-built to fit Pink Bean Coffee’s space, functionality, and aesthetic preferences.

Rapid Fabrication Timeline

  • Production start date: February 24, 2025

  • Installation date: March 13, 2025

  • Total fabrication time: 13 days

  • Installation time: 1 full day, with an additional half-day for minor punch list items

Collaboration with Ownership & Design Team

Owner Bonnie was highly involved in the selection of finishes, while our Senior Project Manager, Jake played a key role in the design collaboration process. This teamwork ensured that every detail aligned with Bonnie’s vision for the coffee shop.

Installation Process & Site-Specific Adjustments

While installation was smooth overall, there were a few challenges that required quick thinking:

  • The structural column in the backline made it impossible to reuse the customer’s existing ice bin, so we fabricated a custom bin in just two days to fit the space.
  • Last-minute modifications included swapping the location of the bakery case from left to right, which required additional wiring adjustments to ensure LED lighting functionality.

The Pink Bean Coffee fabrication project exemplifies the power of collaboration, precision, and adaptability. With a completely custom design and a tight turnaround, we delivered a stunning, functional space that enhances the coffee experience for both staff and customers.

We look forward to seeing Pink Bean Coffee thrive in its newly transformed environment!
